Translating research into policy is one of the greatest challenges of development in Africa. The AfricaInteract project provides a much needed platform for enabling research-to-policy dialogue in Africa. This project aims to enhance the resilience of livelihoods to the adverse effects of climate change through informed policy making for adaptation to climate change. Funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and coordinated by the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF/WECARD this highly consultative initiative operates under the auspices of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) in collaboration with ASARECA, COMIFAC, ENDA and FANRPAN. The project has a regional focus and is active in East, Central, West and Southern Africa. The project covers the urban, agriculture, water and health sectors, with gender being a cross cutting issue.
