FANRPAN Attends Launch of Latest Report of Malabo Montpellier Panel

FANRPAN was represented by Ms Sithembile Mwamakamba at the launch of the Malabo Montpellier Panel’s latest report, "Mechanized: Transforming Africa’s Agriculture Value Chains” in Lilongwe, Malawi on the 10th of July 2018, at the second Malabo Montpellier Forum.

Taking a broad perspective on mechanization, including technologies along the entire value chain, "Mechanized" presents a systematic analysis of policy decisions and interventions taken in seven African countries that are at the forefront of progress on mechanization. If brought to scale and replicated across the continent, these policies and practices could have significant impact on agricultural transformation in Africa.

Hosted by the Right Honorable Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, Vice President of the Republic of Malawi and co-chaired by His Excellency Abdoulaye Bio-Tchané, Minister in charge of Planning and Development of the Republic of Benin, the MaMo Forum provides a platform for informed dialogue and exchange among African policy makers, politicians and decision-makers on African agriculture and food security.
