Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in Agricultural Ecology? Are you interested in climate resilient food systems in Africa? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?
We are seeking an agricultural ecologist to work on climate-smart agricultural practices in large- and small-holder agriculture in southern and eastern Africa. The post is part of the Leeds-led Global Challenges Research Fund programme, Agricultural and Food-system Resilience: Increasing Capacity and Advising Policy (GCRF-AFRICAP) project, an interdisciplinary team of biologists, climate scientists, socio-economic researchers and international development planners, focussing on four case study countries in southern and eastern Africa. You will take a leading role in the South African aspect of our research programme, while collaborating on research in Malawi and Tanzania.
