The AgriDiet Conference was held in Addis Ababa on 17th July 2015

AgriDiet is an Irish Aid-funded research project (http://agridiet.ucc.ie) aimed at understanding agriculture-nutrition linkages in Ethiopia and Tanzania, and generate evidence-based policy recommendations.

Over the past three years, AgriDiet partners in Ethiopia and Tanzania have been engaged in a multi-faceted programme of policy analysis, field research, training, and stakeholder engagement to improve our understanding of the linkages between agriculture and nutrition and to identify agricultural policies and interventions that can make a positive impact on the nutritional status of vulnerable rural households.

The focus of the programme is to understand how agriculture impacts on the nutritional status of rural households in areas of high nutritional vulnerability and to identify practices, development policies and interventions that can enhance this impact. Through the various research activities, AgriDiet aims to substantially advance the understanding of nutrition-agriculture linkages in Ethiopia and Tanzania, and generate evidence-based policy recommendations.
