Fall Army Worm Training

FANRPAN CEO & Head of Mission, Mr Chisvo delivered a keynote address on Fall Army Worm. Mr Chisvo’s focus was on the status of the pest infestation, economic and food security challenges, government response strategies and practices and emerging policy options for Southern Africa.
The speech provided a broad overview of the status, economic and food security challenges posed by the pest and what needs to be done going forward.

FANRPAN at the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) High Level Dialogue

FANRPAN, represented by Dr Tobias Takavarasha, participated at the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) High Level Dialogue, held under the theme, “Improving Agricultural productivity in Africa through mechanization and the use of fertilizer”. The event took place in Gaborone, Botswana from the 6 – 7 to February 2018.
The Dialogue was attended by a select group of high-level African experts, policy makers and thought leaders from 16 African countries. Participants and individuals who are strategically positioned in the agriculture sector.
