Horticulture Network Awareness Workshop
Cape Town & Stellenbosch
18 September 2007 - 20 September 2007
IITA/Horticulture Network

It is with pleasure that we wish to announce to you that the IITA/Horticulture Network, funded by USAID, is preparing the Horticulture Network Awareness Workshop to be held from 18 – 20 September in Cape Town and Stellenbosch. The workshop themed “Fresh Perspective on Horticulture in Southern Africa”, is an unique opportunity to introduce the Network to stakeholders in Southern Africa and Chinyanja Triangle and Angola. This is especially valueable since the Horticulture Network has been awarded participation in the program of the 2007 allFresh! Conference & Expo on 18 & 19 September in Cape Town. Dr Petrus Langenhoven from ASNAPP will be introducing the Network to the participants of an event that has become a national summit for the major stakeholders in the fresh produce market. Participants of the workshop will be specifically introduced to roleplayers, producers and suppliers in a stimulating networking situation, with ample time for discussions and to build future interactions.

The Network participants will relocate to Stellenbosch to continue with the Workshop on the 20 th September. The identification of potential areas for interactions and the formulation of strategies to promote horticulture will form an integral part of the outcome of the workshop.

Participants wishing to participate are encouraged to contact the addresses below as an expression of interest. This will enable us to proceed with the detailed arrangements for your participation and registration. A detailed program with registration costs, accommodation arrangements and costs together with the registration form will be forwarded to you within the next 2 weeks.

We are looking forward to your participation and making every effort to ensure that this meeting is valueable to building future interactions.
