Simba is the Managing Director of ATONU Project and leader of the Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture (NSA) Thematic Area. He is an accomplished agriculturalist, researcher and professional dialogue facilitator. He has extensive experience in managing and leading complex, multi-partner agricultural and food security programs in Africa, Europe and South West Pacific regions. Simba has a good grasp of agricultural value chains, food systems and nutritional issues. He holds a PhD in nutritional biochemistry and BSc in Agriculture (Animal Science major) from the University of Zimbabwe and a Masters in Animal Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen. He has previously worked in agricultural research for six years, as lecturer and Professor of Animal Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe for 14 years and more recently for the past 13 years as co-owner and director of a consulting firm.
