Kanto provides support to the programme and communications teams in translating project and organization documents. Her work focuses on providing support in translation of programme and FANRPAN documentation into French; reviewing reports and documentation written in French. Kanto speaks French as a second language and with her experience in translation she provides support in facilitating the communications between FANRPAN and the French speaker countries. She also provides FANRPAN project staff with technical assistance in the writing of project proposals and assisting in the implementation of the Climate Smart Agriculture programme activities.
Kanto is an aspiring Political Scientist who has a keen interest in analyzing Food, Agriculture Natural Resources (FANR) policies for government agencies and other related stakeholders. She has done research on “Women’s participation in politics” and would like to see their effective engagement in agricultural policy development. She has worked with youth especially girls in advocating for gender equality and empowerment of the girl child.
Kanto holds a Master 1 in Political Sciences, and a bachelor degree in Public Law both from the University of Antananarivo , Madagascar.
