Dr Njongenhle Nyoni holds a BSc Agricultural Sciences degree, an MSc Agriculture (Animal Science) degree and a PhD which focused on the impact of climate change on agriculture. He specializes in developmental project designs and implementation under the Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) thematic thrust. He has participated in several CSA initiatives/projects including some funded by the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), the Mastercard Foundation (MCF), Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), Oxfam and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). He has a wealth of experience in organizing, convening and facilitating various high-level regional and national policy dialogues on CSA. Dr. Nyoni has experience in facilitating the development of costed Country Action Plans & Agendas to address performance gaps against the CAADP Malabo commitments. Part of his work at FANRPAN focuses on publication of reports, policy briefs and development of capacity building tools. Recently, Dr. Nyoni codeveloped a Youth Policy Training Manual, which unpacks how key stakeholders in the FANR sector can effectively engage in policy development processes. He has also conducted capacity building training sessions, administering the manual on youth from across the African continent.
