SADC Council of Ministers meeting

Luanda: Angola will attend the meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Council of Ministers in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), on Thursday and Friday.
Speaking to Angop (Wednesday) before leaving to attend the meeting in the neighbouring country, State Secretary for Industry Kiala Gabriel said the member States would discuss issues concerning regional economic integration, trade protocol, customs union and community visas.
“The SADC Finance Committee will also review the quota situation of the regional bloc member countries, in accordance with their revenues, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as well as the Indicative Programme for Regional Development,” he said.
The participants will also debate the situation in the DRC, which currently chairs the SADC, and whose annually rotating chairmanship will end next August. The SADC groups Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, DRC, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, The Seychelles, Mauritius and Madagascar.
