FANRPAN participates at the inaugural Annual Protocol Conference for Africa
CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria
17 November 2010 - 19 November 2010

South Africa hosted the Annual Protocol Conference for Africa (APCA) at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, South Africa from 17-19 November 2010. APCA is hosted in association with the International Protocol Officers Association (PDI-POA). International best practices aligned with local and regional protocol challenges featured prominently in the programme. The Conference provided a continental forum where protocol officers or any person concerned with protocol in Africa can network, exchange information or share experiences and best practices.

The Conference programme compliments the education forum of Protocol and Diplomacy International - Protocol Officers Association (PDI-POA) but focused on African protocol issues with mostly African speakers. The programme included local and international speakers.

The aims and objectives of APCA are:
  • To serve as a networking forum of protocol professionals in Africa. To promote protocol in Africa
  • To be able to connect with protocol officers in non African countries through the PDI-POA membership
  • To serve as a resource for protocol information
  • To provide educational content
