Notice is hereby given that the FANRPAN Annual General Meeting of members will be held in Lusaka, Zambia at 1600 on Thursday 6 September 2007.
The Agenda for the meeting is set out below.
The Annual Report of the Director of the Directors and Council, together with the Audited Financial Statements, will be e-mailed under separate cover.
In accordance with the Constitution, each Node as a member of the Network shall be represented at each
general meeting of the Network by a delegation of four (4) persons, consisting of one (1) representative from each of the following four (4) stakeholder groups from the particular member state in which the Node is established:
government ministries responsible for FANR;
policy research units or departments of agriculture or agricultural economics at universities;
private sector national umbrella organisations which deal with FANR;
national farmers’ organisations.
Upon receipt of this notice, members are entitled to add any matter to the items on the agenda by giving
written notice to the Chief Executive Officer. In addition, members wishing to nominate members of FANRPAN Board of Governors are invited to send written notice to the Chief Executive Officer. Such notices shall be received by the Chief Executive Officer at least 21 days before the meeting.
