Mr Talentus Mthunzi

Talentus provides the Climate Smart Agriculture thematic thrust with technical assistance. He is an upcoming Monitoring and Evaluation specialist in the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources (FANR) sector specifically focusing on Climate Change issues with a bias towards Climate Smart Agriculture. Has experience in project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Has worked on a number of development projects that include PRIZE, a USAID funded project in Zimbabwe as a Value Chain development, Marketing and Village Savings & Lending Team Leader for ORAP/Catholic Relief Services. Has managed and monitored the implementation of Africa wide Climate Smart Agriculture Research and policy advocacy projects funded by CORAF/WECARD and IDRC, EU and COMESA. Has delivered CSA presentations at different forums, organised and facilitated national and regional policy dialogues. Has participated in regional and global climate change events including the UNFCCC CoP, conducted trainings in Climate Change Leadership and Policy Advocacy and facilitated the development of agricultural value chains and markets with rural communities. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Public and Development Management Sector Monitoring and Evaluation (WITS) and recently submitted a Master’s thesis in the same field titled: Results-based monitoring and evaluation for the Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance interventions
