About FANRPAN
Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN) is a Southern African network organisation that promotes food, agriculture and natural resources (FANR) policies through research, analysis and dialogue at the national, regional and global levels. It does so by facilitating linkages and partnerships between government and civil society, building capacity and supporting demand-driven policy research and analysis. FANRPAN works through a network of national nodes in twelve countries in Southern Africa. Each country node has members comprising stakeholders from government, private sector, farming unions, policy research institutions and non-governmental organisations. It combines activities such as capacity building, research and information dissemination. FANRPAN’s core programmes encompass HIV-AIDS, Food Systems, Agricultural Systems, and Natural Resources and Environment.
Vision
Productive agriculture as a basis for widely shared food security and prosperity using natural resources sustainably in Southern Africa.
Mission
FANRPAN’s mission is to promote, influence and facilitate quality agricultural and natural resources policy research, analysis and dialogue at the national, regional and global levels.
